As a long time real estate investor and business owner, TJ Loftin spent a lot of time observing business and real estate trends and watched some major disruptions in both areas.
TJ decided to travel the country to closely monitor trends. He came to the realization that in less than a decade, most people will not be able to afford real estate ownership or even be able to start a business and own the building that it’s in.
“We are raising the first generation of non-homeowners, and that’s dangerous.” In 2018, TJ decided to write his first edition book, “Monetizing Gentrification: Building Black Ownership” to further his mission of guiding especially the Black community to curtail the negative results of gentrification through proactive steps of attaining and sustaining wealth through ownership. The book is in its second edition. Monetizing Gentrification: Building Black Ownership has reached thousands, globally. TJ continues to tour nationally, providing lectures, keynote speeches, trainings and coaching to continue the legacy as provided by our ancestors.
